The visionary behind this unique concept is Mr. Saroj Bista, CEO of UBOC Hospitality and a proud Nepali entrepreneur. Having arrived in the UAE in 2012 to establish Universal Blue Ocean Consultant on Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Mr. Bista quickly recognized a missing piece in the local dining scene: a truly authentic Nepalese culinary experience paired with a warm, service-driven ambiance.
“During many of our business meetings, I would search for a place to take clients where they could enjoy quality Nepalese and Indian cuisine—but nothing quite fit the bill,” says Mr. Bista. “That gap inspired me to create a space that not only serves delicious food but also shares the story and soul of our culture.”

Thus, Kasthamandap Restaurant was born—a place where the multicultural community of the UAE can come together to experience the rich, layered flavors of Nepal and India, carefully crafted by skilled chefs who understand the art of consistency and authenticity.
